Car details from Factory

I know this probably isn't a good time to ask this but what do I need to do to get the details of the car from the Factory, ie who do I contact, how much is it and what will I get??
Meant to do this ages ago but never got around to it and now need it quickly as there is a chance of a small piece in Roger Shackletons new Griff book.

Also can I get previous owner details from the DVLA? We've just changed the registration and their telephone helpline is hopeless.

Phone the factory and tell them what you want (01253 509000), they will be able to put you through the the person you need to speak to (car records I think its called) If you need writen details then I think they charge for it, but if you jsut need verbal confirmation of an aspect of your car then they are usually happy to do it over the phone. You will need the Chassis number, engine number and year of manufacture.

Hope you have more luck than me over these details. TVR did'nt even bother to respond to my simple request for detail which I think is pretty p*ss poor.

Maybe I should try again and write it all in Russian.

Likewise, hope you have better luck than I. I tried 3 times to confirm that my car was the Red Rose spec it was being sold as when I bought it, in the end I had to take it as written... Which now turns out to have been a mistake...
