Top Engineer to showcase his work from V Twin to V10
Engine designer Al Melling is to have much of his work featured at Henley TVR next month. Over the last 40 years Melling has had quite an influence with his designs including an F1 engine for Lola, TWR Jaguar's Le Mans winning engines as well as the original V12 planned for the XJ220. In more recent years he's worked with TVR on their engines.
During September Henley TVR will be hosting an exhibition of Al Melling's work. In the showroom will be engineering drawings, a V Twin engine and the V12 F1 motor. A TVR Speed 6 will also be opened up for examination.
Melling will also be giving a presentation on automotive design and the history of the AJP engine (date to be confirmed). Following that, there will be a question and answer session where Melling will talk about power train and chassis design.
Henley will provide a finger buffet and drinks and there will be parking available for over 100 Cars.
Dealer Principals from any TVR specialist or dealer are welcome too.

Melling has quite a portfolio of engines to his credit from what I understand.
Dunno myself. Will probably go along and hear what he's got to say for himself. He's certainly been involved with some interesting projects in the past.
I guess it depends on what he says, and how convincing his "I didn't do it" is, as to whether he's well received, or gets
some fairly constructive criticism. There's clearly more than one side to the whole AJP engine saga, so in some respects, until or unless teh bods from TVR are willing and able to comment, it'll still remain a mystery as to where the difficulties lie, and how they may be resolved.
Perhaps they could clear a space on a display table for peoples "bits of spat-out AJP" that have been salvaged from the road?
