Re-wrapping a wiring loom?

Re my previous post about changing the ignition resistor, I now need to re-wrap the foot-well loom on my Griff. The existing plastic wrap is not great, what are my alternatives? I've had cars before which had a cloth wrap, where do I get this? Needs to be flexible, removable (just in-case!) and preferably waterproof.

Any suggestions?

I always use self amalgamating tape

Loom tape is what you need, its not sticky like insulation tape but does sort of stick to its self. Easy to remove when required and does not leave a sticky mess.

Hmmm, I looked at these, the cloth stuff looks ok but I've used it before and it can disintegrate, plus it was not that flexible once wrapped.

I had a VW and the wiring had a cloth covering that was more 'fluffy' in finish.

You can get a plastic wrap around called spiral wrap that locks around the loom- do an ebay search. You can then wrap a single layer of insulation tape around that if you want for a neat job.

Ive used this for years, and found it no more difficult to remove than good quality insulation tape.

I use amalgamating tape for my aerial/Sat installs and it has to be cut off with blade sometimes, maybe a different type?

I've seen this stuff which I might try, anyone used similar?
