Jersey Franchise

Hi All,
Last night when I was giving my Plastic Horse a drink for the weekend, I was approached by this gent who told me that they have the Jersey agency for TVR's, and the cars will be entering the showroom that they are currently refurbishing,this week. This is fantastic news as per m2 there must be more TVR's here than aywhere else?
What effect this will have on the current service agent remains to be seen, as I will find it difficult to give my car to anybody else just knowing how he has looked after all other machines.
I am really excited about the new showroom as it will give me the opportunity have a real hands-on look and feel for other cars in the marque.

Is it still the case that cars exported to the Channel Islands are exempt from having to have catalysts fitted?

Don't know about that, as we do not have the requirement for a MOT it wouldn't matter if they were de-catted, cars are only checked at the roadside periodically for road worthiness.

Yup, its true. Also if you import a car back to the uk from the channel islands, you are not required to fit cats!

I've also heard that we will have a TVR franchise here in Guernsey around November, (Freelance motors? - are vauxhall, renault MD's, and are also now a lotus MD)

Sounds good, hope the mechanic's will be well trained in Tvr care, not just given a service manual & tol to get on with it.
