Counting down to road trip.

Hi all,
Just preparing for a nice long drive down to southern Spain.
Leaving next Sunday and will take 6 days to reach a villa just west of Malaga stopping in Le Touquet, Bordeaux, San Sebastian, Toledo and Granada on the way.
Shall post a few pics as we travel.
(Hope the ECU doesnt fail this time).

Great stuff, I hope you have a great time! I'll be mostly taking my Tuscan, finished or not, through Europe in a few weeks! Rotterdam - Munich - Klagenfurt (Austria) - Lake Bled (Slovenia) - Monza (to watch the F1 race) - Menton (France, via Italian Riviera) - Switzerland - Rotterdam.

Apart from the ECU, have you had any other issues while abroad??

Next year I want to drive to Czech Republic and back in mine. I will need to sit down and plan a route, I certainly don't want to do the motorway all the way

Sounds great really, hope you have at least as much fun as I had in Italy.

I'd just say be careful with traffic jams (overheating) and overfilling web filling her up :-P

I had to leave here outside the last two weeks while I ran off to the US.

Didnt seem to be running quiet right yesterday and today is much worse, misfiring really badly when applying a bit of heavy throttle.
Hope the heavy rain we had, while I was away, hasn't found the new ECU !!!

Had a 12k service in May so really should be good.
Had a run to north Germany in July so I have had booked her in tomorrow for a fresh oil change ready for the Spain run.
Drove fine in Germany and back but having said that I had to have the throttles balance again before the Germany run, only a few weeks after the service, which was obviously a bit strange?
At least she's booked in and can be checked over but last thing I needed this week.

Plan B is sat on the drive (Wifes car not the Chimaera as she needs new shocks) but I've been looking forward to our annual Tuscan run for months now.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrhggggggggggggghhhhhghghghghghhghhgttththththht !

Tuscan has been in the garage for two days now feeling very ill.
Three days to go and I'm off to TVR Power to pick up a new chip.

When driving from Toledo to Granada take the N road to Ciudad Real and the the CM4111 to Almuradial, not only is this a great road but avoids the Autopista which is a drag. Do the road in the sky over the gorge at Despenaperos and leave the motorway at KM 268 ( La Carolina). Head for Ubeda and Jodar and keep going South ( Great views and roads) until you hit the A92, turn right and you're 30 miles from Granada. It's a great drive but watch the trafico around La Carolina, they're busily enforcing speed limits to ensure they get their wages paid!
