I was down at the pub in Gt Missenden on Saturday evening when I heard a lovely sounding car role in - Naturally, it was a TVR, Tuscan to be specific. Now, I went to have a close look as I thought it had some quite bad scratches on it and when i gave it the full once over, it would appear to have got what looked like and extra layer over the front, front of mirrors, begind the wheel arches and other various places. Where this 'extra layer' meets the main body, there seemd to be a whitish line all the way around on the joining bit. The number plate would reflect that the car was very new. Is this some sort of ugly covering, maybe a half finished job and the owner wanted the car for the weekend ??

The white line was probably wax/polish

If you do a forum search for Amourfend (or possibly Armorfend) you'll find numerous discussions about the pros and cons of the stuff.

I considered it briefly after a front end repsray, but was put off in the end, mostly by the potential visibility of the edges, especially on a dark colour.
