Help: Cham Green/Emerald Green/Halcyon Atlantis Blue

Hi guys,

I'm considering using one of these colous for my T350 convertible project. Does anyone have the colours in an area a suitable drive from Buckingham? Or can they post experiences with the colours?

Chameleon Green seems to always look mostly Aqua in the photos, but I think it's a trick of the light and the cars look mostly green in the flesh, especially in sunlight? Is that right?

The Emerald Green also seems to show a lot of Blue in photos, but both the green and blue tones are darker than Cham green, and with a bigger texture to the metallic flakes?

Finally Hacyon Atlantis Blue always seems to look blue in photos, but I'm told there is a green aspect to it, but more subtle than a Cham or Reflex colour.

Can anyone, help out with info, colour accurate pictures or offers to view in the plastic... please?

You are welcome to come and look at mine or PM me and I will send multiple photos to look at. I am in West Sussex not far from Arundel. Sometimes it looks completely green, other times completely blue and then at other times mixture. It's all dependant on light conditions and angle of viewing. Here are a few:

Halcyon Atlantis is one of those colours that depends on how much of each tint you put in as to how it looks (obvious really)
it is however difficult to photograph. The last Griffith 500 made was HA.

My car does look mostly blue however in low light and at some angle the green is obvious.

Conversely there is a Cerbera in our region that is also HA and it's definitely more green than my car, you can still see the blue but the green dominates.

It's a very subtle flip paint so if you want something that does move but is less in your face then it's the one to go for.

I got emerald green,

And to be honest it stays green most of the time unless it's spotless and in the sun then the blue shows it self

And bloody expensive per liter

But! There are 2 emerald greens one jag and one Lexus

I am on the picture as I was joint foreman of the line so I know that the last car was the forth number 100 that we built after that picture was taken, there were 110 griffs built, there were two 001s, two 007s, two 008s ( one of these went to hong kong as its a lucky number ) and then there were four 100s, I can't remember the other three at the minute, all the cars that were duplicated numbers were split up across europe and the far east so there would never be a point of conflict, I will leave the engines for another story

sadly these arnt rumours, its the truth, I remember the last griffith well as I test drove it, we had run out of a lot of the parts so the management had a make do and mend attitude, a lot of the parts were secondhand like a lot of the last griffs, and the black paintwork was flat which I remember complaining to mick penney but I was over ruled as usual and told "just send it" that's the way the place worked, criminal really

Funky - are you still looking for a Sag/T350 that'll cope with Irish roads better than your last one? I've been meaning to update for a while, but we've found and tested a solution a couple of photos down... I'll post up properly about life on sixteens soon, we've had them for a while, but I wanted to keep quiet(ish) about them until we managed to get another cheap set.

Thanks all for the comments and pictures. My current thinking is that Halcyon Atlantis may be the colour for me, but I really need to see a few in the flesh. I think most digital cameras struggle with shades of blue (and red) for some reason. The one HA I've seen in the flesh was beautiful, but on (digital) film looked just blue.
So what I really need to ascertain now is what colour people with HA cars actually see on their cars.

They are both Halcyon Atlantis, but one is perfect for me and the other just looks blue. Can the owners please tell me how they are in real life?

Oh, and if anyone has any close ups of the metallic effect to the paint I'd really like to see that. I really love a rich metallic sparkle effect!

Both the same colour, you can just see the Tamora switching to green slightly over the front wings. I would suggest it was very dry, overcast and dimly lit when that photo (tamora) was taken. No idea why water effects things, but ours certainly likes to seem greener when wet, and then stunningly bright greeny blue in direct bright sunlight.
