Hi

Can anyone recommend a reputable garage, person who specialises it TVR inspections?

Spotted a couple of Chims I'm interested in but commitments mean the 8hrs+ round trip up north not realistic for a month or so.

Cheers

Whereabouts? Have you tried Track v Road (Clitheroe, Lancashire). They look after a couple of my friends' cars and seem to come with a very good reputation.
Not sure whether they would go out to inspect a car, but I'm sure they would if it could be brought in.

Worth a try?

West Yorkshire so Track v Road might be a good option.

I can recommend the yellow chimeara at SSCCTVR in north Yorkshire. Great car and will come with a warranty for peace of mind. I used to own this car hence the recommendation.

Ian at Track v Road gets asked to inspect TVR's a lot. He's a very busy boy though so call Richard, Craig or Ian and find out what his availability is. TvR are top guys, know TVR's inside out, know what to look for and will give you an honest and comprehensive opinion. BTW, I've seen the yellow Chim mentioned above and it is a top, very original and unfettered example. A lot of car for the money.

X works inspected mine pre-purchase a couple of years ago. Inspected it in Yorkshire for me. Very thorough inspection and report and saved me hundreds of pounds if not touching a £1k.

If you are going north, it would be worth a visit to Hexham Horseless Carriages!

Track v Road again for me. Ask to meet them there if you arrange it with the lads?

Just spoke to Richard at TrackVRoad. What a seriously nice guy! Just gave me 15 minutes of his time over the phone at the drop of a hat. Very helpful and nice bloke.

I can see why they are well recommended.

Well turns out I didn't need a TVR inspection as I changed tack completely and have bought myself a Caterham.

But I appreciate all the advice given in the TVR and Chimaera forums thumbup
