Electric Windows Woes
Discussion
The windows in my Chimaera are behaving strangely by working intermitently.
The driver window goes up okay but not down, only after multiple tries. I have removed the armrest assuming the switch was at fault so clean contacts or replace, now the passenger side is working intermitently.
Clearly motors are okay as they work as are switches. All connections seem tight & free of any corrosion or dirt, as far as wire entry into the tunnel will allow access.
What are my options - any relays along the wiring routing or common issues i should be looking for?

I had a similar problem recently, which I understand is quite common. Mine was a result of voltage loss across the connectors in the door. With a good clean, the connectors should offer less loss and so maximize tension across the window motor. After a good clean mine now work a treat.
Good luck

Sounds about right - i used some electrical connector cleaner on the actual switches, then inside the connectors at the rear of the switch plus the block connector in the tunnel - for the moment all working again okay. a result of voltage loss across the connectors in the door. I suspect this is temporary reprieve as there was no consistency with the lack of operation when they failed previously. Next stop i will try the block connectors in the doors as you suggest.
Can you access these through the speaker or is it a door panel off job ?
