All, I've not been posting for a while as my Griff has been off the road. Have spent the last few months putting her back together - the last item was to get in touch with Carl at Car&Bike Installations for repair of the stereo. As ever Carl was really helpful and a quick trip to see him this morning has resulted in the stereo working all fine and dandy again biggrin

Unfortunately, while I was there, Carl told me that he will be stopping the Car&Bike business by the end of this year - as he and the family are moving to France!

Just thought that anyone considering one of the updates to TVRs that Carl currently offers should give him a call soonest, rather than waiting!

Blimey, thats a surprise. Its Baker not Barker BTW.
Will cost me a bit more in travelling expenses than it does now then!

Oh that's a real loss! Will he still do work if we visit? biggrin

Luckily, both of mine have had the Carl treatment so I'm hoping they won't need anything any time soon.

OK, sorry for spooling error rolleyes

Carl hint that he'd be setting up in France for TVR work at some stage - though the place he's buying needs a LOT for work (not currently habitable)so I guess it will be many months before he's back up and running.

I'll go hug a tree in the hope that nothing needs doing soon then.

idea Each of us takes a few days off work and does a 'Ground Force' for him, that way he will be operational quicker and we can all sleep at night biggrin

Nice chap, very happy with the work he did for me. Did a bit of research and I couldn't get anybody to recommend anybody else for TVR alarm work.

Carl is really a nice and helpful guy and I hope he will be back in business soon. But abacusalarms is a very good contact too for the Meta Alarm System in our TVRs

Mark good to see you've got the green meanie back on the road. When Carl's settled in it'll be a great excuse for a trip around France just to get the alarm sorted.

Second that! Refitted both alarms on both TVRs I have and have had. Nobody comes close. He too told me his move to France. Thank god, I decided to get the Griff done when I did!

That is a big shame. Does anyone know when Carl is off?

Really nice guy, came over to Belgium to sort my car out. Took his time and did a great job. I hope he will still support us

I have heard that Carl is definitively off to France an will be moving January of next year, so I guess if you want to get anything sorted you should give him ring as I think his time will fill up quickly especially with planning the move

As I understand Carl is off to the Bergerac region in January ( nice of the French to name one of their regions after a TV detective ). I don't know what he has bought but he thinks the renovation will take 6 months + so I guess that will be the time he is out of operation for alarms and electrical issue fixing.

I'm glad I've already had my alarm sorted by him.

I'm very glad to have had the alarm system replaced, and the nav system installed before he went!
