I've changed the car and got the perfect set-up. New style front end but original back. I would like to change the rear lights though, the car is silver and I am wondering whether clear rear units would look good or just Chav?

What do you think?

Yep, agree entirely. Like expensive hi-fi or a well dressed women, less is more.

I've seen a Cerbera recently that had chromed number plate surrounds and a big chrome V8 badge on the back. Tacky, very very tacky. With the great shape that TVRs have, the need for embelishment is rarely there. Simple mods just to freshen things up often look best. As LA says, dark rear lights do create an aura of some mystery - but mods like the 'afterburners' can work nicely behind those tints.

Leave 'em be Corin. I think the contrast of the dark tints looks great with the silver. Reckon the clear ones might look a bit 'bling'!

Can't wait to see the car in the flesh mate... and Serby's new beast. D'ya think an evening blast could be on the cards sometime soon? (assuming we get a break in this crappy weather)

Dont go bling on us or you may as well buy an Evo. The thing that attracted me to TVR's was their understated 'Britishness'. Tint them darker and spend the saved cash having the pre cats out. The last thing anyone will notice then will be what lights you have!!. The more people 'play with the asthetics' of the Chim/Cerb/Griff the less classy it looks IMHO.

Point taken everyone, I might just try a light tint on the light itself behind the cover.
