Im just about to send my chim off for a full body off chassis refurb and dont know what colour to paint the chassis. it left the factory white but i dont know if i should just have it done white again or another colour.

i have blue water pipes and blue ht leads so i was thinking about trying to match the chassis to the colour of those pipes (the chim is formula red).

does anyone out there have a chassis colour other than grey or white.

also i was thinking about getting the blue act 90d induction pipe. if anybody has any pictures of what the blue induction pipe looks like on compared to the black i'd love to see it and if anyone has pictures of a different coloured chassis please can you post them so i can have a look.

thanks

Odd colours will put some future buyers off.

More than a few classic TVRs have come up for sale in the last few years that I may have been tempted by, but for the odd chassis colours...

Looks great in original colour. did consider yellow. Cobolt blue body and grey trim. But I think I made the right choice.

Why would odd colours put some buyers off?

It your car, your choice. Personally I like chassis the either match or contrast the body colour.
I really dont see how changing from the OE colour would effect future value.

It's a fact of life that prices are dictated by what the market is prepared to pay. By going non original with chassis colour, the potential market for that car has been slashed down to those future TIV owners who don't care about originality. These cars are now firmly edging onto proper "classic" terrotory, where buyers put a premium on the factory look.

Can't see a red car with a blue chassis working TBH. I'd stick with white.

There can't be many original chims left out there. Blue chassis maybe going a bit far I know but white is a bit boring IMHO.

A bright coloured chassis looks great IMHO, the brighter the better. Orange, Purple, Green, anything that shows off the owner's investment. Anything is better than the white/brown chassis I see whenever I look at my car.

Yes- and you can get matching cable ties too!

Moi? OCD?? Never! (besides it should be CDO with the letters in the right order)

That said, the world would be a sad place if we were all the same.
