Brake flaring tool?
Discussion
I have found that this is one tool which you will have to pay out for to get quality flares. When you have finished with it you can always sell it on, on Ebay etc and probably get a good part of your money back. Having said that they are always handy to have around, just never know when you will next need it.
I have a vice held Sykes Pickavant one, Brilliant, perfect flares every time.

On that note, and because I recommended it, the Snap-On one above I've done hundreds of single and double flares with over a lot of years.
Most I have done with it upright in the vice but many also done in situ on the vehicle.
It's simple to use and not at all fiddly as it might appear looking in the case, and makes good flares in a minute or two.
It's a very good kit for not a lot of money.

I've used the Sealey version of that Snap on tool and that was the one that just mushed the ends over.
I'm leaning towards one of the below, cheap-ish but not £20. Also small enough to get into confined spaces.
