Can't find anyone with it in stock. (Halfords, MotorServ, local motorists centre....etc)

Does anyone in the local Northants/Beds/Bucks area know where there's a big pool of it?

I have it in there at the moment and just want to top it up, unless anyone suggests I can top it up with 15w50 without problems.

We use 15w 50 in ours 4WD. I don`t know for sure if it would be ok to mix different viscosities but would think it is as long as you are topping up synthetic with synthetic. I know the big is mixing synthetic with mineral.

The UK supply of Mobil1 is all 0W50 - end of story, if you want anything else (Mobil1 grades that is) you have to look at importing it.

So far the best alternative I've found is Shell Helix Ultra - works beautifully in the race turbo engine except it is so runny that it is really difficult to get a dipstick reading!

Thanks for the replies.

After speaking to someone who know's his car oils (he's blood group A rhesus Sythentic) I'm going the 15w50 Motorsports route.

And I'm not sure what you mean about the UK's supply of Mobil 1 only being 0w50 Jimbro since the three places I visited today had the 15w50 in stock, in bulk too.

Try here:

www.opieoils.co.uk/lubricants.htm

I'd be surprised if they can't meet your needs.

In June the French changed to 5/40. Still at €32 for 4 litres I wosn't going to complain. I have given up stocking up with wine but now get 16l every time I cross the channel.

Apparently all the best cheap plonk is in the UK now anyway - the french have started nipping across the channel to stock up in England because we get all the best stuff that they make....

Such irony

Hi Guy, so do you do any 5W50 Oils? (I had a quick scan of your site, but couldn't immediately see any)
