Nice looking car and it deserves to be back on the road.
However, the dealer claims that he can repair the smashed GRP for under £800. I would be very suspect of this unless he assures that he's only using sticky-backed plastic and an aerosol!
The ad states 'light fibreglass damage'. Looks more like a £3k repair job to me.
I seem to get the impression that he's after the buyer's cash and, when it comes to repairs he'll say "remember I quoted £795, well it's now..."

Having had a further look, I would suggest that there could well be chassis deformation.
See the head on pic further down the ad where, despite the result of the bonnet impact, the body lines appear to slide downwards from left to right. Something other than the bodywork has gone awry there or else the car wouldn't have such a lopsided air intake (or mouth).
Why didn't the owner take up the generous bodywork offer other than write the Chimaera off?
One other thing. Why are there what appear to be two round holes on the body in front of the nearside headlamp?

This chaps has lots of TVR's for sale but from what I've heard leaves a little to be desired. I've spent some time looking at Tuscan's on his site and this line appears in just about every advert I've seen.

Agree though - there is something very good looking about any TVR in white.

Very good point - it is an old car by any standards and I would recon you could negotiate both the purchase and repair costs IMHO.If you don’t have the knowledge takes someone with you
