Genuine Chim v Griff question....
Discussion
I know there are a few tongue in cheek threads going on at the moment, but genuine question...
I know the earlier Chim(p)s were supposedly softer setup than the Griff, but how much difference there is between the later Chims and a Griffs?
I.E. ignoring aesthetics, what difference is there between a 98 500 Chim and a 98 500 Griff as it came from the factory?

The Griff was bought into line with the Chim around 95/96. Prior to that there were subtle suspension/brake differences ie the Griff was firmer but eventually shared same as a Chim.
Not that it matters, but I thought it was the other way around, i.e. Chim eventually shared the same suspension set up as the Griffith. So do the post '96 Griffs have the softer Chim suspension?GJR said:

Driven both on track & there was a significant difference in what felt like spring rate IMHO........
Griff felt a lot 'flatter or stiffer'.
Both at Castle Combe under heavy cornering.....

Current 95 Chim 400 on what look like original Billies feels softer than the Griff 500 after a recent visit to Pembrey with big wheels & proper tyres etc.......
