TVRCC Berks Meet Tuesday 18 June M4 J11

Greetings, All!!

The Berks TVRCC Meet is tomorrow night, 18 June, from 19:30 onwards. It´s at the Swan Pub, opp. the BP Station, J11, M4, southbound off the A33 at Three Mile Cross.

I will be back from my hols to piss everyone off with my tan, and hopefully I will have Ruby sorted by tomorrow afternoon.

Whoops - took Big Blue in to work so could go straight to meet - but few people were leaving work today - so an hour in the sun after 5.30pm I'd reach my 500 limit (and I don't mean pints mr plod)

Sorry couldn't make it - had to go to Leeds at short notice. 440 miles in Kings' Cerbera Speed Six loan car (my Griff is in for more work) - I was a bit knackered come 9pm...

Well, I finally made it to my first meet after many month's of near-misses, for one reason or another.

There seemed to be a very good turn-out -- the car park was packed, with cars even parked two-breast down the centre! Is it always like that? Good job it was dry & warm enough to stand outside all evening! Would we have all fitted inside?

Anyway, hope to see you all next month!

Harryw, I've been working in Portsmouth the last few days and have just read your post. I thought about driving up but decided against it in the end. Just read your post and where you live and wish I'd gone now!

Indeed an excellent turnout, 40 TVRs in total and a lone red Triumph TR2 which looked rather cute sat there on it's own! I turned up early to see a man about a dog intending to get away around 9:00 No Chance! As you say, the Tiv's were 2 a'breast down the centre of the car park - excellent stuff. Good to see Steve P (previous RO and early memeber of the TVRCC e-mail list!) again after a few years. All-in-all an good TVR nettering session. See you all again soon, Rich...
