Alright, who stole my gears?!

So last Thursday morning, jumped in my Tuscan and found someone had replaced the gearbox with sponge. Called RAC man out Saturday morning who found one of the bolts attaching the gear lever to the linkage had sheared off.
All was well & good again until I parked it up later the very same day. Left it fot 10 minutes & when I came back it wouldn't go into gear?! After pumping the clutch & shouting lots, I eventually managed to select a gear & all was good again until it happened again on Monday. By Tueday night, I was struggling to change gear at all. All fluid levels are fine and the clutch pedal doesn't feel any different.
She's now sat back in the garage waiting to be seen to but they don't have any time until next Tuesday, so I shall wait and see. Both me and the garage are a little confused as about 2 & half months and 3000 miles ago, the box was off and the clutch looked like new??
Either way it looks like that will be the last journey I take in it until next year

With the RV8 engined cars and T5 box it's not unknown for the clutch release arm to fail where it pivots on the spherical end of a rod. This rod can push through the arm meaning that although the slave cylinder pushes on the arm there's nothing for it to pivot on to transfer the movement to the clutch plate.
how many miles has your clutch done??
With the AP clutch its typically not the friction plate that fails, its the fingers on the diapraghm plate, the fingers fail and thus prevent you selected a gear. The clutch can look fine upon inspection....
If its a genuine AP clutch, they average around 25k miles life, if its a reconditioned Raceproved clutch, its pretty variable....
Thats not to say its not the master or slacve, but you would expect sopme fluid leakage i guess?
