It was bad enough with TopGear constantly having a dig at TVR's - now ebay are joining in!
I though I would take a quick look to see if anything interesting/tempting had appeared on ebay recently and was surprised at ebays suggestions list on the right. Yeah, one of those might make a good choice if I can't find a TVR! Bloody cheek!
(I have pixelated the main details page to hopefully prevent the PH mods deleting the post for advertising). I don't know if advertising go carts and lawn mowers is allowed?

Adverts are usually tailored to your activities so I'd venture a guess that it's done that because you've been looking at lawnmowers and go-Karts recently?
I've never looked at go-carts or lawn mowers on ebay - that's why I thought they are taking the p**s. TimJM said:

Don't you see the common link then? Land Rover off road buggy and trailer.. it probably has a TVR engine in it (which then again came from a Rover, and further back Buick)V8 GRF said:
Have you looked at them anywhere?
No, I have no need for a go cart or a lawn mower. I have been looking for a wardrobe but I can't see how that is related.I think they are just having a wind up. I just logged out of ebay, cleared all cookies/browser history/cache everything opening a new browser and tried again. This time it suggested a tractor, a series III shell of a land rover and another go-cart. Perhaps people looking for TVR's also look for these things?

I personally find it quite creepy at times when you suddenly get adverts in google for products you've had a quick look at and then find yourself almost being 'stalked' by them wherever you go on the internet.

Hmmm interesting. A lot of TVR owners I know are Landrover fanatics so maybe it's making the association from other searches as well.

I would expect so. If it has no info on you other than what you just searched for/viewed, then it will promote items in categories that people often go to next. Of course if you do take it's suggestion it starts building a picture so it can refine it's suggestions and it's away.I personally find it quite creepy at times when you suddenly get adverts in google for products you've had a quick look at and then find yourself almost being 'stalked' by them wherever you go on the internet.
TVRs > Lawnmowers = suggestion Chest Wigs
