Does anybody have them on there car ,

Need the real width of the tyre (trye wall to tyre wall "widest point) can anybody help .

How wide it is depends on what width rim you put it on.

It will be approx 240mm wide, but that is a guess based on the following from the Contiental Tyres Technical Databook which is for 16" rim, not a 15" rim.

The wheel diameter doesn't seem to make much difference to these width measurements, so they should be ok from 16" to 15". But this is for a Continental tyre...


Continental 225/50/R16
6" rim = 232mm
6.5" rim = 237mm
7" rim = 242mm
7.5" rim = 247mm
8" rim = 252mm

Hi Thanks for info

I have 15' x 8 , currently running 048's for track but need some 225 wet tyres looked at TR1's and seem to have squared side walls

I have no more than 240 to play with , some tyres have bulging side walls which will catch my arches.
