A recent Rolling Road tune has shown that my 500 is running weak on4 cylinders I have to retard the timing by 10 degrees to drive it - I have been told the guy to sort it is based at the aerodrome near Oxford as he sets up the Tuscan Racers - does anyone know who this is ?

Guy Evans is down that way and works on racers - not sure if he has a rolling road though.

I have tried directory enquiries and they don't have a listing - do you know it - or an address?

Redgriff - where are you exactly? There's a V8 engine specialist in High Wycombe. I just popped down there at lunchtime - seems to know his stuff. I've not had any work done there yet, but from what I see/hear he know his stuff (see separate thread from yesterday for details).

Redgriff - could be Promotasport the Tuscan race team who are based on the MOD ex-airfield a Woodham between Aylesbury and Bicester. Although I'd give Steve at Thames valley Racetech a call he's sh*t hot on all things TVR. He's up at Coombe from thursday onwards running a number of Tuscans and a GT car but will be back monday.

I am based in Solihull near the NEC - the problem is that its fine at idle - as the problem is only apparent under load I need a rolling road and someone who can plug into the ECU - the guy I usually use doesn't have the right software.Promotasport could be the ones - however directories don't have a listing and I can't find a Woodham near Bicester!

If you live in Solihull would TVR Power in Coventry be able to help I wonder?

They do servicing, and I've heard they're quite reasonable.

Worth a phone call?
