Where the soft-top meets the bodywork of the car, expecially along the centre of the boot area, the lip of the roof doesn't sit flat against the body work, but is raised slightly. If I apply pressure by hand I can move it back to lie flat, but it won't remain that way.

There is some eveidence of what appears to be glue under the canvas. Is it suppoed to be glued down? I also wondered whether the rear windscreen might be slightly undersized which could be pulling the lip up.

Any ideas or advice please?

Mine's exactly the same but with no evidence of glue. On that basis I'd suggest that your glue may be a previous owner's failed attempt to make it lie flat. I might be wrong though.

My diagnosis would be TADTS .

Mine did it after I had the rear window replaced
Would like to renew the whole roof now, but only if it can be made to lie flat afterwards
