Posted to general forum as quite a general problem.

Rightly, the Griff (pre cat) has developed an annoying squeak. It’s coming from the left front area but I don’t think it’s the strut, it sounds more in towards the inner area of the wishbone. Now the squeak does not developed until the car is warmed up a bit whereupon it gets worse until it’s at full volume. It is definitely related to the movement of the front nearside of the car. Movement over the road of the left wheel produces maximum squeak and less so if it’s the right wheel that encountering the bumps. Smooth road, no squeak. It’s not brake related.

So, does anyone even have any idea as to how I go about tracing where it’s coming from ?
Is there anyway of tracking it down ?

Or, at the very slimmest chance, has anyone else had the same thing or got any pointers ?

Thanks.

Shawn,

You must stop sellotaping mice to the suspension

Or it maybe a dry bush on the suspension. I had this on an MG once.
