Hi Folks

This is a quick question - mods if I am contravening rules then kill this.

I have been working in electronic security (Alarms) for a while on and off.

Would there be any interest if I put together a kit of parts using professional grade equipment (not hardware store tat that dies after a couple of years) - but more importantly with a set of installation instructions that covers comprehensively how to install it.
(Pro equipment comes with instructions but they assume you are already in the industry - this would be simple step by step).

This would be a totally separate alarm system for your garage so you can keep your P&J locked up and alarmed when the house is occupied.

I haven't really given it deep thought just trying to gauge if there is interest as this is probably going to take quite a bit of effort on my part for probably not a huge amount of reward.

You would need to be able to work a screwdriver, do a bit of wiring - including mains supply, put a few rawlplugs and screws in a wall (no worse than putting a shelf up) etc. but my instructions would tell you in a step by step fashion.

All comments good or bad appreciated.

Posted in TVR (as I was an owner and 'get it') but equally applicable to anything.

Chris

Think you will find thieves just post some nicely coated food through your letter box then your doggy will be fast asleep whilst your getting burgled lol

You must be dead posh if you have a letter box in your garage.

Problem with a barking dog is you spend most of the time telling it to shut up!

This will be at the other end of the scale.
A simple audible alarm based on tried and trusted technology. A simple dialler can be added.

If you want ipod bells and whistles I would suggest you look at a seperate camera that you can view over the internet - not a market I'm in too much pain to support.

I do a visonic alarm system with cameras in PIR's but these images can only be sent to an alarm receiving centre when it is triggered. This complies with appropriate alarm legislation so no opportunity for peeping toms!

Are TVRs really a target for car thieves ? Really would be surprised if they were ! Legite ones are hard enough to sell for decent money ! That's not meant to be damning but just an observation .
