ive just been out to get something from the car, pushed the the unlock button on the key fob and the alarm goes off. i forgot to put it on the charger, as it seems to go flat in a couple of weeks of not being used anyway the car does not unlock it just sets the alarm off. it does the same thing if you push the button under the mirror to if the battery is flat.

is this normal, the alarm was fitted by carl baker a couple of years ago so i dont think the alarm is at fault.

The battery going flat in this weather is normal, it is with mine anyway. I went to put my trickle charger on the other day and it had gone flat with the recent cold weather. Now back to full charge. So, don't worry about that aspect, at least.

If I leave it for 2-3 weeks in winter time, it always happens.
