Guys, this will not happen. I think this was mentioned once as one of the methods that could be used to raise new car sales. Probably by one of the euro lobbyists for the car industry..... But most people even in the EU Founder this silly and impossible to implement. Ukip is scaring you and the journalist wrote about old news.

Thats right Daz, Without modifiers no car will have any "identity", and where do they draw the line, Wheels, Radio, paint....
The next thing will be vodka on the national health and pigs will rule the state.

Guys, that story is almost 18 months old. Government announced before Xmas that this is not happening as it was unfair and would not serve any useful purpose. smile

Email Patrick McLoughlin at the Department for Transport and tell him exactly how you feel about it!

I just did.

Why bother? - the story is 18 months old and was only the press trying to stir things up about some proposals that never came to fruition anyway...

Yep where all suffering cos we ain't all in it together. Trouble is we have an upper elete that's bin ripping us all off for centuries. Time we woke up and really got the country working together building business for our kids not just so share holders can take the meat whilst the rest of us pay tax and have little! There's no future without innovation, we should invest in the tech the world needs..... And find brilliant blokes in sheds to fking invent it and make a fortune, I've gone all stupid!!! It's true I'm sure it is!

How you draw that conclusion is beyond me me, this whole topic is 'Daily mail' scaremonger at its best, obviously was a slow news day.
