Operation Exhaust - ideas from the clever TVR folk, please!
Discussion
Ideas, suggestions and pointers required please!
I've just acquired an additional exhaust for my standard Griffith 500.
My car is currently standard with both pre cats and main cat in position and I intend keeping the original exhaust in storage for when I feel the time is right to revert back to standard.
I am sure many comments will point towards at least removing the pre cats and perhaps getting one of these Clive F 'Y' pieces.
However:
Assuming I was to leave the cats in place, what are my best options with the main exhaust?
My aim is to increase volume without suffering any tinny noise or agricultural sound effects, both on idle and during driving.
My initial thoughts are to cut the box open and put in place some straight through piping. Do I leave all the wadding in, take it all out or leave half of it in?
Please, give me your thoughts and experiences about what to do. I'd like some options but I'd like to get it right first time and get that mega sound that I'm after.
Over to you lot.
