After viewing these I'm amazed TVR is still in existence.

You can jump onto the euro hub of 'No horse play' watch your 'Tripping hazards' and 'PPE for England' but we do it a bit different in the UK, just go and check Rolls Royce works1 out in derby, just the same as TVR's factory and they make the best jet engines in the world - don't knock the way we do it in the UK because we are unique. Its all getting too serious!
How often have you taken your car to a garage with really capable mechanics who do excellent work, but it is a dark, grungy space? One should be more concerned with the quality of the work than with the total cleanliness of the space. Agreed, TVR has some strides to make in overall quality control but having spotless floors and work spaces is not always indicative of perfection of product.

Not sure it's all as cut and dried as that.
Example: you want to buy a car. You see two cars, one is shiny and has clearly had a lot of attention paid to it. The other is scruffy.
You buy the shiny one because it suggests that the odds are that the owner has applied the same level of attention to the bits of the car that you can't see. You can't be sure of course but you're playing the percentage game.
Same with garages (within reason). Which would you really have service your motor? The guys who don't care about the environment they work in, and who might as well use the first bolt they come across, or those who are organised and can both locate and fit the right components of the right quality?

...//P// After 18 years as a manufacturing engineer in the automotive industry, I have developed a sure fire way of deciding whether a company gives a stuff about it's workers or not.
That is to find the Toilet Block Furthest away from the MD's office and see if it's clean and works and has a good supply of arse wipe tissue and soap and hand lotion.
It don't have to be new, just clean and tidy.
If you find one that's perfect let me know ! and I'll apply to work there.

Have you not heard about organised chaos, you know where the right bolt is its on the floor near the fridge full of spray cans and sour milk!
