Following on from the "women don't wave as you let them past" debate.
Why oh why will women NEVER let you out of a junction into the flow of traffic. This morning I pulled up to a T junction with the intention of turning right,at this particular junction it is easier to let cars out than to drive round them, but oh no that would be too much to think about, what with getting the kids to school, texting, putting lipstick on or simply thinking about other road users.
I sat there on that junction and watched 11 women navigate their way around me (determined not to catch my eye!)rather than let me out. Then the first bloke that comes along lets me out with a smile and a wave.
Is it because I drive a TVR or is it the fact that they generally dont think about other road users!

Couldn't have put it better myself!

Now, if you get a woman in a BMW either 5 or 7 series, then you've got no chance. They'll never let you out.

It's true. I watch my girlfriend drive her 5 series - no one getting out. I watch my mum driver her 7 series, no one getting out.

It's an interesting one. I let people out. A smile and a wave is so alien in London these days, it's good to atleast try!

Speach over. You may now get back to work.

Nothing like writing something in the heat of the moment, but having read it back I have to say 11 women to 1 bloke is fairly conclusive

Were you waiting at the junction or had you pulled out in to the flow of traffic with the nose of your car?

If it's the latter I'm bloody disapponted with the 1 guy that let you out. If you are coming out of a side road in to a main road wait until there is a space or someone lets you out, what gives you the right to push in to the flow?

A person waiting gets flashed out by me, a person nosing out gets driven around.

Not having a pop at you directly but it's my pet hate everyone around here thinks it's their God given right to pull in to the flow - even the old sod that T-boned the rear quarter of my car because he had waited at the junction 30 seconds and believed if he had waited that long he had to right to proceed over the other traffic - and yes that is exactly what he told the police once we had chased him and got him to stop.

No I use the same junction everyday and position the car right up to the white line but not over it, this particular junction is a busy country road and it would be suicide to edge out.

Wasn't going to bother with this one because frankly it's boring. But then I thought 'why not?'

Not sure this is strictly true, but your wish is my command Ladies, please ensure you NEVER let this man out in to traffic. Don't know what he looks like? Try this

Incidentally Jeremy, would you say that customer relationship management was one of your strengths?

And here's me trying to hide under the cloak of secrecy,

but yes I probably did, I shall endeavour to calm down in the morning before venting my spleen on a national forum.

Or perhaps a young Gary 'The Fiddler' Glitter?

OK, OK, so some 'creative viewing' may be needed for that one.
