Red Grif Reg K4 *** - Spotted in Monaco!!
Discussion
Was in Monanco last Sunday and spotted Red Griff driving around the F1 circuit. Was great to see it amongst all the other stunning cars that were cruising around.
Just a shame that I wasn't in the tunnel at the same time that you were, but there was a F355 with a modified exhaust giving it some through the tunnel which sounded very nice (well up to the point where he spotted the Police with their speed gun and put the anchors on).

Think this may well have been "griffman", posted on here a few weeks ago regarding his impending nuptules and honeymoon plans.

TVRs in Monaco is a subject that seems to come up often. To my knowledge there are 4 TVR's down here.
There'a a green 94-ish Griff 4 litre RHD on French 06 plates (Alpes Maritime) owned by Larrie, a Brit.
Then there's a deep blue 2000-ish 4.5 Chimaera owned by an Italian called Riccardo, and a grey 4L Chimaera owned by a french chap, both LHD and on MC plates
Finally there's the best of 'em all! - my 5L LHD Chimera which I've owned and driven in Monaco since 1995. It's on MC plates reg no N577. And yes, you are right it sounds great in the tunnel, but the best place is in the narrow tunnel from the Rascasse to Fontvieille. It really scares the hell out of bikers!
I use the car every day, and the roof stays in the boot from May to October - even in the public parking areas. Yes, the police here do a good job (and for your info they don't have radar guns).
If anybody comes down to MC with a TVR, contact me and we turn double the heads that I normally do. Porches and Ferraris are so common, but a TVR....they are really special down here.

That's Laurie, but I think the Griff is technically Nia's (his wife) - she certainly knows how to drive it with intent!!

I was there in June... and will be back next year as I'm heading for Menton! If I remember nearer the time I'll email you - and yes, the attention the car got was incredible, I even donated my TVRCC cap to a young South African lad who was far too impressed with the car!!

Im an oim on one of our FPSO's
look forward to it, don't you find its a bit hot in summer for an open top car?

Sorry to be a bit late picking this up (thanks, Dex). I'm the Larry/Laurie and thanks to Caro for the correction. Yes, it is my wife's 94 4.0L Ocean Haze. Its been down here for 3 1/2 years now and enjoying every minute of it.
Anyone coming down, please make contact and we can meet up with Dave to do a bit of a tour.
Cheers
Laurie
