Big up to my main man Joolz!
Discussion
innit and all that Tim Westwood crap.
Joolz put on a fine display of customer care yesterday in spending a few hours nurturing the chim and getting the suspension set up so its now handling better than either of my TVRs ever have done. Top man, and a massive thank you. 8 hours behind the wheel well spent when its service like that
PS - managed some decent speeds on the return leg. Thank God for Road angels

You should have said you were coming 'up north'
i know mate but the problem is that I had to be back in the orifice Friday as big Trial next week. If it hadnt been for that I would have stayed up for the night and sorted out a few
I did speak with Psychobert about arranging a session in sheffield shortly since I couldnt make it a night this time. Watch this space...

Glad to hear all is now ok - maybe now you will decide to keep the old girl!
HH.
its handling sweeter than any TVR I have owned. but I do have a test drive this morning in a cerb
lmao .. you and Craig wil be like twins then
its bad enough that we share the same surname! I best steer clear of buying a cerb, he has been on at me to buy one since the first time we met. I can hear him now "ock mcjimmy, ier tell yee what that needs, ach, a touch of the ol' nitrous to see off them porsches on the starboard bow"

Is that Craig your talking about or Captain Birdeye
Hi Joolz (and Schnozz) Just back from six weeks or so in France - and about 4,000 miles of great motoring (thanks joolz) so will need some tlc quite soon, methinks. Just to agree with Schnozz that Joolz is THE man - I know my enjoyment of tvr driving would not have been so trouble free and enjoyable without his fantastic help and skills. Ta.

Would either of you (Jools or Shnozz) have time to post brief details of the work done and the finished settings? Totally selfish post - I have similar suspension and it would save me re-inventing the wheel!
Cheers, Dean
I changed springs and top damper eyes on schnoz's car .. but as i keep saying .. each car is different so work out what *you* want before changing anything ..
Fair enough, I already have AVO springs and dampers, I just wondered what damper settings you wound up with plz? Are you still near std ride height, does the Shnozzmobile have a rear anti-roll bar?
It seems to me there are a few folk with ajustables fishing about on their own for optimum settings, I am hoping for a bit of pooling of experience, tbh.
Seasider helped me greatly with his settings, for example. Cheers, Dean

shnozz hasn't got AVOs though ... they're my Joospeed dampers.
what springs are you using with the avos?
I thought the springs were too hard when I got them, now I think they're a bit soft, so I guess they're about right then!
My question was more how many clicks the dampers are on, with ride height and anti-roll bar status for comparison with my own... bit irrelevant since I got the wrong end of the stick re the dampers, humpfh!
I'll just keep twiddling mine by myself then! Any comments like "try this many clicks front, this many clicks back, works for some ppl as a fast road setting" would be great as a starter for ten, though.
