Hi Gordon

Is that so you can fit a V8 in there, or did you need to get under it on the way home ?

Anyone know roughly how much it would be to have this done?

Having a flip bonnet is quite cheap .... The expensive bit is the cost of making what you see nice.... smile .

Unfortunatley because PW wanted the bonnet bolted down on a Tuscan it's not as good as it might have been without modification.

Busy getting this mod done at the moment. Apart from rocker cover, some polishing and hoses what else needs to be done? Do you have a picture of your engine bay we can see?

i)Paint inner wings since only gel coat
ii) Cover for heat exchangers
iii)Stainless PAS mounting bracket
iv) Carbon Airbox
v) Carbon Plug Cover
vi)Engine Caps
vii)Polished Oil Cooler
viii)Polished water pipes
ix) Stainless Braided Oil Pipes (£500)
x) Zirotec Coated Manifolds & Cats
xi) Buffed oil & water tanks
xii)Stainless compression joint and pipes for oil breather pipe
xiii) Aluminium Radiator

Plus more ..... Oh and a 4.5 Rebuild smile( you're halfway there with a 4.3 ) and still more to do....Like stainless oil cooler mounting brackets and getting rid of the P-clip on the heater pipe.

Mark, what are you doing on this forum, you should be on the Old Mans Jag/Tata forum, I would like a flip bonnet so I can see a proper hand build engine and not one built in Calcutta. Anyway thanks for the trip around London Wednesday night In your new massed produced barge hehe PS, golf is booked for 12pm next Wednesday.......

Is this the new Jag you are after?????????????, Looks very like the XKR supercharger we were in the other evening.
I would love to do a track day, mind you we would have to wait about an hour while you sort out which button to turn on and off. hehe

I still have some bonnet hinges left from the spares I had made up when I did mine if you want a pair. To be honest, any trustworthy bodyshop or garage would be able to do the work as it's not complicated, it just takes some time and needs more than one pair of hands.

I know Racing Green's bodyshop did the conversion using the hinges I supplied on the recent 12 plate Tuscan they sold.

Few more bits of info here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
