Lifting engine out - how do you guys secure it?

Well I finally have my arse in gear and have striped the v8 all back ready for lifting. I have a proper hoist but not sure the best way to secure it for the hoist. Do you guys just rope or chain it up under and over the engine or are you bolting brackets and chains on? The oilly fr is having it later today!

I used soft slings to lift mine.

I used the lifting eyes that bolt to the side of the heads and ran a harness through these. If you havent got the original lifting eyes i suppose a harness securely fitted running underneath the engine back and front will be fine.

I have seen some lift going under the inlet manifold, not sure i`m too keen on that one, but obviously works.
