rung motorplan today to claim for some work (pod playing up) they asked for my code no and reg, after giving this info i was told that they have not recived any money from my dealer so i am not coved. I rung the dealer he said he has paid, so rung back motorplan they said they are not intrested in my claim as they could not find any payment with this policy, rung back the dealer he said not his fault he paid the cheque to his accountant, so he should have passed it on to motorplan, rung the accountant he said he has paid the cheque. so as it stands paid £28000 for a tvr needs a pod looked at, WHAT DO I DO NEXT.????????????? forgot to say had the car 9 weeks so cheque (if there was one)should have cleared.

Trading Standards?

Seems strange that the dealer gave the cheque to the accountant and not paid it direct.

Has the deal just been done, perhaps the paperwork is in snail mail. Otherwise the contract was you and the dealer. Tell the dealer to pay for the work and he can then claim from the warrenty Co when they have sorted out their codge up. Any dealer who are pro's will want to sort it and quick.

Presumably you bought the car from the dealer. If so your contract is with him. The onus is on the dealer to fulfill his obligations to you. If the dealer is any way near professional he should sort out your problem, amd then worry about the third party warranty reimbursement.

I would agree that it's the dealers problem.

At this point, the dealer hasn't done anything wrong, so there's no reason why you can't name them.

Then you can post to say "how well they have sorted out the problem"
