Happenend between 7 and 10pm just off London Road not far from the station.

At least there wasnt much tread left.

Oh well, at least they didnt scratch the bodywork or vandalise it in some other way.

Now ..... SO3's or F1's, hmmmmm

I always found tyre-slashing a little difficult to understand....

Keying - you walk past cars with keys etc. and leave a long scratch, quite possibly no-one would see you and you are already moving so could scarper off.

Where-as to slash a tyre you need to be carrying a knife and I presume it takes a reasonable amount of effort to puncture a tyre, so takes a little time to do.

My only idea is that they do it so you don't spot it straight away so it could leave you in a dangerous situation on the move.

Perhaps I just don't understand the ways of the scally

Slowrider, that part just off the station area leads on to the Pimp area and ladies of the night so it's a little dogy anyway, they arev trying to make it trendy round there again with the bars springing up but I should imagine it was some jealous who rather than work hard to get on in life wants to bring everyone down to his level

I would have understood if it was a German car but a TVR - well that's just not cricket.

Better he slashed your tyres that were on the way out than keyed the car I suppose (what street was it)

That figures, there are some clubs down the end and it will be some gimp with nothing better to do.

Keep those new tyres away from De Montfort Street and you will be fine, as the weather is getting worse he has probably done you a favour by making you get some decent tread for the wet roads!

I have to say people do alwaysb ask me if TVR's get abused while left in high profile places, on the street etc...

I have to say I have never heard of a TVR in all my years getting it's tyres slashed, and only know of two TVR's personnally in six years of selling them that were stolen (one had the keys left ontop of the rear wheels!!!)...both were returned.

With 99% being totally unique where are they going to turn up, if you have a certain colour combination, interior then the factory can trace things quite easily.

Because the TVR is a great looking car and not OTT like many other cars in a `loads a money' type of way..you know which ones...German and Italian

They seem to get away with them, I am sure this will start a load of stories on thefts etc, but the facts are they don't really get mucked around with..half the joy riders couldn't fit their pregnant girlfriends and buggies in the car - so that rules them out
