OK, having done the MX-5 thing for 5yrs, I decided it was time to move into the world of TVR. It all happened rather quickly: I saw a '92 Griff and fell in love immediately. At the time, it didn't matter that there was no service history...

So here I am, trying to get a Tuscan, but needing to sell the Griff first, obviously. Has anybody been successful on tracking the service history of these cars? I'd appreciate any advice the forum has to offer!

Thanks in advance...

Might be worth posting more details of your car, someone, perhaps even a past owner might recognise it or have seen it being serviced somewhere or just had an idea where it was previously based.

From that and a bit of guess work you could call the local dealers, most of whom would be happy to send copies of and invoices etc.

The factory might have some details although they charge an admin fee for obtaining them.

In my service book, there is a card that the dealer stamps, that stays in my book & there is a card that I sign, to say I'm happy with the service, vin, date, mileage etc.

On the back of that, is TVR's address & a little space for a postage stamp.

From that, I'm presuming the factory have a record of my car's service history.

Hope this helps,
Russell

If you send 5 quid to the DVLA they will send you the details of all the previous owners (how they can get away with theis in the age of data protection I dont know). Maybe some of them still live at the same address, you could write to them and ask if they have any relevant documents or info they could forward on.

Cheers Guys, thanks for the input.

The car:
Griffith 4.0L in Dark Green (not sure whether it's Starmist/BRG...) with a red interior.
Reg. TVL 455 (No idea what the previous reg. was.)
I bought the car in Hatfield, Herts.

£5 to the DVLA?! Hmm, I agree, but if it helps me out I'm not going to complain! I'll try the factory too.

Let's see what happens. I'll post results as soon as I get anything.

Thanks again..
