...so, now the CX derived ribbed (oo'er) ones are drying up, and the same might well happen to the Corrado alternatives that can be fitted with some (more) grief, what alternatives are there? Mini Cooper looks like a possible candidate, or maybe later MX5...any others? Anyone care?

I've been looking at this possible problem too. There just ain't many cars around that do not have the door mirror integrated into the quarterlight (space). One likely candidate I've discovered as an alternative (not replacement) is early 90's AUDI's. Not sure of the models though. I've seen an M-plate A4(?) saloon and an S4 (I think) waggon with separate mirrors bolted to the top of the door. Sorry to be vague on models but (typical) Audi's don't always have the variant on the boot.

Have you tried looking at places like Demon Tweeks, they do an array of Mirrors that may fit, although you may not be able to use the electric function. But how often do you honestly use that?

I keep thinking I would like to change the interior one to a nice squashed oval one. I think it would add a touch of class.
