Stone chip protection
Discussion
Beastie's going in for a faired in headlamp conversion and front end respray at the end of the month, and I'm thinking about added protection from stone chips... I'm aware of Armourfend, but wondered if anybody has used anything different or has any recommendations?
Thanks in advance,
Chilli

Hi.Just had the front end of my Tuscan Mk 1 resprayed. I had my paint protection done by using this company www.paintgard.co.uk It was half price of A*m**r*end. he did a Brilliant job.And i'm well pleased with the finish. I had the complete service bonnet covered, looks so much better than the vinyl finishing half way up.
Tell him Dave with the Reflex purple Tuscan purchased from Bespoke TVR recommended him.He is a one man business and his name is Steve.

Chilli just had the Sag covered @ Paintshield, its a self repairing film and so far i'm very impressed!
V tidy fit & will be put on the griff next time the nose gets sprayed
Christian - I know you mentioned that it would be a 'tight squeeze' due to TWO TVR events happening over the same weekend but are you bringing your 'NEW' Sag for all to see at the Neil Garner Open Day on March 30th? As you know my friend's 'UFO' Sag will be on the Surface and Design stand for all to see, after it's recent touch up with S&D and Paintshield - like yours!V tidy fit & will be put on the griff next time the nose gets sprayed

Here's hoping you can make part of the Open Day at SN16 9SH - if so, that will make a dozen Sags - Glorious!

Hi Paul, i had really wanted to make it this year after my late arrival last year but it looks like i will be getting the early tunnel crossing with a bunch of other TVR loons for a Spa & Ring trip, real shame as it sounds like your going to get a really good turn out with some quality cars! Here's hoping you can make part of the Open Day at SN16 9SH - if so, that will make a dozen Sags - Glorious!

On a plus note there will be a bunch of very quick TVR'S waving the flag at one of the best circuits in the world so its all good

It would be great if there where some good pictures and video posted for all that cannot make it?

Cheers Christian, Sod's law - like the saying, "and two buses come at once!" Except these are TVRs! I do recall you saying that you were going to Spa. Enjoy! On a plus note there will be a bunch of very quick TVR'S waving the flag at one of the best circuits in the world so its all good

Pictures? Well it should be me taking them being a photographer!! As i am part running the show!! But that job has been assigned to another keen photographer! Be sure there will be plenty of pics. Besides Sprint want to do a follow up article.
Yes should be good. 80 cars registared on here last year and this year we have nearly double that, so my guess is providing the weather is kind, we could be on for 200 motors!!! Thank god for the nearby farm!!!!

Please post photos once this is done. Chilli

As a (very) new Chim owner I have lots of things I want to do (budget is another matter) but my car will need a front end respray sooner rather than later. I do like the faired in headlight look and I guess it will be cheaper to get the respray done at the same time rather than two individual pieces of work.
Not meaning to the thread hi-jack but my list of 'want to do's' is getting very long.....
Another company to checkout for paint protection is http://www.paintshield.co.uk/
They do the paint protection film and the pre cut template kit. They do a Chimaera kit.
