Laser Speed Gun

Does anyone know where I can buy a speed measurement gun? (I presume same kit as BIB's use for their revenue gathering)

Sad I know but I like gadgets and I would be interested in measuring the instantaneous speed of cars on track days and at motor racing events (especially Le Mans).

If I am not very much mistaken, you used to be able to buy speed guns from CostCo a while back... But dont quote me.. Maybe someone else on here will be able to confirm.

Also I am sure that what you will be able to buy will be very different to the ones used by the BIB as I am sure theres needs to be type approved, and therefor VERY expensive.

Just a guess mind.

Try the track day or VMax forums as I'm sure some of those guys would use something similar to measure VMax.

Otherwise if it's just your own speed - how about a Racelogic VBox (as used by Evo) or just a standard GPS locator/navigator/scamera detector.
