Has anyone purchased a jacket from these people, if so whats the quality like. I was not too keen on the logo on the back but they will do one without if you ask.

I'd put good money on the fact that they don't have permission to use the logo...

some of their stock looks very similar to the stuff that guys were trying to sell in the carparks around Silverstone when the GP was on - IMO it looked very cheap and cheerful when I looked

I've got one and I'm very pleased with it.

It's a Silk cotton mix, quality very good.
Logos etc are embroidered, NOT transfers.

I bought one with the lightweight lining for the Autumn/Spring, and I intend to get another with the warmer lining for the Winter.

Company is fine to deal with. I changed my mind about size, I thought twice and decided to up the size, after I'd placed the order. They were easy to contact and they modified the order no problem. Delviery was around 10 days from placing the order on their web-site.

Same with Renault and Ford etc.... didn't bother changing title. Noticed that the Jaguar F1 regalia was now reduced!

the dodger...

Are you tempted to part with your birthday money on one of these jackets?

If you have a good look at the TVR logo, it's not correct. Look where the gaps in the letters should be.

I emailed to them to moan about the fact that if they pinched the logo they could at least get it right....they said that they could see what I meant and that I was the first person to mention it...Hmmm

tack.y
adj. Informal tac.i.er, tack.i.est

Lacking style or good taste; tawdry: tacky clothes.

Distasteful or offensive; tasteless: a tacky remark.

...as for the scarf reference, I had visions of a middle aged wanna-be with a shiny jacket emblazened with, oh too big, TVR logos the ensemble complimented with a white silk scarf ala flying ace style. No doubt chucking his keys with a big TVR keyfob on the bar of his local. Yes these people exist!

sorry, but this sort of stuff always reminds me of the Friends episode where joey pretends to have a porsche by covering himself in porsche stuff (jacket, cap, etc).

Whenever I see someone with a car logo on it I just think the last thing he has is one of those cars.

Maybe like football shirts, they are acceptable for tvr race meetings. Other than that I'd have to agree with the tacky definition...

therefore anything with a tvr logo must be tacky, don't visit the regalia section on the tvrcc website, you'll have a heart attack TT (too tacky??)

I did not like the huge logo on the back but I see nothing wrong with the others

You really don't get it do you?

It's really a matter of taste, nothing wrong with a little 'branding' it's the 'in your face' stuff that is so awful. I have clothing for 2 clubs that I'm involved with, but I'd like to think that whilst they are distinctive they aren't OTT.

I would say if you've been looking at the TVRCC web site at their merchandise, why don't you buy something from them rather than filling the pockets of rip-off merchants using unlicenced company logos?
