Just interested in how brave / nutty some of us are (or have been when we were younger perhaps) and whether that bravery is easier to tap into abroad when date i say it the boys are on tour. wink

Fastest for me was touching 175mph in my old Cerb on trip down to Le Mans in 03. Remember it feeling like 275!!!

Of course i meant:

Just interested in how brave / nutty some of us would like to be were we ever to break the law and go super fast, which of course we wouldn't and whether that bravery would be easier to tap into abroad if we were ever to be tempted to break the law, which of course we wouldn't.

I would've liked to have touched 175mph in my old Cerb on trip down to Le Mans in 03 and Im sure it would have felt more like 275!!! Had I been tempted to break the law which of course I wasn't and certainly didn't.

laughlaugh I'm such a dope!!

Saw 158 on the tomtom in 0.8 mile standing start at BNG.
I have to admit i sometimes take it to 82 if the motorway is clear and weather conditions and visibility is perfect.

Once, on the A50 between Uttoxeter and Derby, I was going so fast my speedo read 285 mph. I booked the car in at Peter Smiths the same day and had my speedo sender fixed! biglaugh

Whilst travelling eastbound on the M6 Toll, I happened to glance at my speedometer and was somewhat disconcerted to see an indicated 73 mph, which equates to 69 mph actual speed according to my satnav. I immediately carefully eased off back to a more sensible rate of progress. Phew!

I did 155mph in my first and recently bought Chimaera on a down hill stretch of the A7 in Lower Saxony, Germany.
had to slow down sharpish when I saw that all traffic ahead was at a stand still.
Nearly poo'd me pants the next day when I found the front nearside brake disc had warped and cracked and the front off side brake pipe had been cut and sealed !!!

Cerebra 4.5 new tyres. Fully serviced , well checked over 1st
(Clean undies) 187 mph with more to go...!!
Very steady and well planted , no headwind in the lancashire area.
Factory car

The factory night shift lads said once.... We need a speedo which reads 210 mph
The early cars read 190mph
News got back to the big man and was changed on production line with a smile

I don't expect to be going too fast in my TVR, its all about sub 100 leptons for me but I have hit 170 leptons on a private road I know that runs between London and just past Swansea (I guess it runs parallel to the M4 but it ISN'T the M4) on my last bike.

I expect that my 6 year old daughter will be out with me a fair but in the Tiv so that's a bit like a 60mph speed limiter.

150 mph on the autobahn no "lightness" detected. Mine still has the chin spoiler intact which I believe makes a big difference at higher speeds.

I was also priveleged to be in the passenger seat of my German friend's Griff at 160 mph.

I should add both times were with the roof down. Very stirring!!

Got to 100 odd recently through a tunnel at night. Activated the overrun on the deceleration to make it pop and bang, then realised that a Police car was sat behind me on the nearside lane. They just drove past smiling at the car. Had I done that in a BMW, I would have been on the receiving end of a FPN. All this wasn't in the UK of course!!! biggrin
