Hi Peeps, I wonder if someone can help me? I have the S6 in a MK Indy kit. I just got it back from PowerTVR and yesterday brought it from Kent to London, and ran perfectly. This morning I took it out in the lovely sunshine and its gutless. Anything over half throttle and I get engine braking.

The induction noise had seemed louder, so I popped the bonnet and noticed that the induction pipes that are terminated by piper-x foam filters are moving back and forth on the headers. Presumably in a TVR the filter end is held in place by the air filter box, which I don't have. The 14yo AA guy had no idea, we took the induction pipes off and saw that the mounts had o rings but were also wrapped in insulation tape to try to seal things. We couldn't improve it.

But is that the reason? The engine starts fine and runs ok to maybe 2000rpm. I also noticed there is a disconnected connector - 4 pins, labelled Stepper. Not sure what that does but there's a lot on a TVR that is not on the kit car.

Also, can anyone recommend a good TVR garage/fixer near E14, London?

TIA

If it was at power would it not be worth calling them up and taking there advice if they have just worked on it?

I'll be doing that tomorrow morning, but thought I'd seek the advice of the PH Oracles too smile

If Doms boys worked on it I'm sure he'll work it out.

Turns out one of the new cats has disintegrated. TVRPower will decat it for me and hopefully get it ready for a Saturday pick up.
