Battery Conditioning

Hi there,

I've just bought an Accumate Pro battery charger/conditioner, as the winter is now on it's way, and I just wanted to confirm something before I connect it up.

The Accumate Pro has two voltage settings: 24V and 12V.

Which one of these do I need to set it to, so as not to cause damage to the battery.??

I have a '99 Chimaera 4.0 which still has the original battery.

I'm planning to keep this charger connected to the battery via the cigarette lighter when I'm not using the Chim.

12V is the setting to use, have used one of these on my Griff for last 2 years and can highly recommend it.

Battery is charging as I'm writing this

I keep the chim on permenant trickle charge, no more disappontment when going to take him out. Used to find the battery low even after a week but now I can use the chim anytime. We even have an optimate for the hyabusa!!

I want to buy one of these, whats the difference between the normal accumate charger and the 'Pro'? The pro looks as if its portable, or have I got the wrong end of the stick...again
