Insurance company question

Its renewal time for the Tamora. Following my usual ring round, Mannings (the incumbent) is not at all competetive compared to others. So I have three in a similar price range and excess value etc. Would appreciate any positive views on these, and PM me with negative to avoid naming & shaming rules.

I used to use A-Plan very good service but weren't competitive for me recently, I'm now with Mannings on an agreed value policy.

Also try MSM Insurance, very good prices and excellant customer service but I wanted agreed valuie due to the changes on my car and they don't offer it.

Not had any dealings with Classicline so can't comment.

I've just renewed with ClassicLine for the third year running (I think). A very reasonable price too! Whilst YMMV, my details are:

2002 Tuscan, 56000 miles, approx value 12k, 3k miles per year.
SDP&C, SL7 postcode, garaged overnight.
Declared Gaz Gold Pro suspension upgrade and SP wheel spacers.

Insurance came with free breakdown and legal cover - all for just under £300! less than £1 per day!

Mine was renewed on Monday through Mannings @ £250 for 5000 miles .1997 4.5 Cerbera including breakdown cover. £100 windscreen , £250 Excess...I'm happy

Thanks for the responses. I was actually looking for experiences of the companies (good or bad), rather than just the quotes. There are so many variables involved, its impossible to compare quotes IMO. So the difference is the service that the company provides, particularly when the unfortunate claim happens.

Any thoughts?

If it helps I had a fault claim through A-Plan about 7 years ago with my old Chimaera - handled very well, no issues with me choosing my own repairer and all settled with zero fuss.

I was with A plan for all of my cars - running three - I found the service excellent.
I had to move the TVR last year as they could not compete on price.
I still have a couple of family cars with then though.

My renewal came through last week. I was happy with the price until I read yours! Do you live in the centre of crimeless vortex?

Currently using Nowell and Richards for my daily 320d.. However they were more than willing to quote on the Cerb as well for a multicar policy. Happy with the level of service I have received, so will get a quote from them come renewal time.

I've just twigged re the email link - I'd looked for it a couple of times and it wasn't there but I tried later and it was there - reason was I'd then logged in so if you aren't logged in it doesn't show. Sorted!
