Interior cost for Tuscan 2001 Mark 1

I was quoted last night 6k to re do the following;
Carpets
Top dashboard
Inside car doors for Alcontara

ALL IN FOR SIX GRAND!!

Please advise me what you guys paid but I assume this guy is taken the peas out of me. I live in Surrey so would like a private trimmer that knows TVR's

I get the same nonesense from trimmers. TVR's are rubbish, never made properly. I 'm kind of fed up and want someone to do the work without hasstles.

That's madness. Might be worth speaking to some marine upholsters as they have a lot of experience with custom coverings in vinyl/leather. I have had complete interior retrims on boats in vinyl by our local companies. Shouldn't anywhere near that figure I'd have though.

Dave quoted me to redo a tvr completely in leather....about half that

carpet, seats, dash, screen surround....everything..

and he knows tvr, wanted mine for the carpers as he said "theyre all different, so i want your car to make it fit properly"

I had a full custom retrim done on my Sag with alcantara, carpets, leather etc (no dash) and that was no where near 6k.

Get some more quotes.

Dave the t is busy for months so not really up for waiting that long. Trimmer last night said. Its too much of a big job and I cant be bothered. That's the nonsense I am hearing!

There are the usual TVR trimmers in Blackpool - Trim Technician and D&C - if you want to travel.

There is also Castle Sports Cars that have their own trim dept in house that have done TVRs, but TBH I've not seen examples of their work (on TVRs, classics look good through), so I can't comment on costs or work as I just don't know.

Also Lotus trimmer Allon White in Cranfield which is supposed to be very good (not sure about TVRs though). They say they have done TVRs in the past - not cheap though from memory.

I know a few others for good quality trimming, but again, no known TVR experience.

I can look through my records tomorrow and see if I can find others (I have a list that I compiled when I was looking for my trimming work). Main issue is that you really need TVR experience

Potentially try Castle and see what they quote you for if you want somewhere local or go Blackpool route, or wait until Dave is available. I booked mine 2-3 months in advance.

They are VERY good but not cheap. Have you tried Central TVR in the Midlands (West of Birmingham). They recarpeted my T350 in wilton wool and that was £800.

Yes, I tried them for a quote on new Evora seats via Castle Lotus. The quote I got made me smile.

I got it done by Dave for rather cheaper.

Not a Tuscan I know but my Tamora is having a full leather re-trim & new carpets - all in £3900 which includes taking out &replacing the screen.

just had my roof done by Aj triming in Bourne End great job, he has also quoted to do the seats which was very reasonable.

Worth getting a price from Gary, near St Albans. He has a good reputation and did the rear screen on my car, has some very nice cars having full interiors worked on when I was there and I think does work for some of the TVR dealers.

- Castle/H&M are good at what they do, but you pay for it - I don't think they try and hide that.
