I'm looking at getting breakdown Insurance to cover our fleet, probably a personal policy as two of us drive.

Cover required : 2 people with 4 cars, oldest car is the Cerb at 14 years.

The personal cover on a few of the policies, just ask for the main car reg, and then a second car reg. if I just put one car reg in, the cover us about £100, when I put the second car in the policy goes up by £50 ish.
What is the point of putting the second car in when it is personal cover and therefore covering any car policy?

Who do you use?

Green Flag is coming out top at the moment, especially if I use the topcash back website and get £50 back

AA with parts and labour warranty. I do it through quidco cashback site which gives me £70 cashback. Total cost for two cars £200 minus £70= £130. The parts and labour warranty gives 5 x £500 contributions to any breakdown work needing doing per year. So far I have had 2 x new shocks fitted on the Jag, cost £465. Money saved already!

If you just want breakdown cover, going through quidco, it costs £82 with ££30 cashback =£52

If you're married to each other, Auto Aid for £38 includes recovery.

Read the detail though s it is more like an insurance policy. You pay for the car to be returned home and then claim the cash back.

Good luck.

Aviva personal cover breakdown and recovery (I don't bother with home start and euro cover is extra) premium is based on the first car in the quote.

I've got 3 cars (2 euro boxes and the Griff) with 2 drivers under personal cover on the euro boxes for £55.79 paid this March. Even tho the Griff is not mentioned on the policy, they have come out to me on the odd occasion when required and, as you're covered in whatever car you're in, there is no age limit on the car. As Aviva used to own RAC, they send out RAC vans. I've tried a number of the other organisations and not found one to better Aviva's service - and, no, I don't work for them!!
