Tuscan V8

Am off out in a mo, so flame me through my profile for being too lazy to do a forum search ...

Would TVR fit an AJPV8 into a new tuscan, if you paid them something extra to do it.

Its obviously not a standard option, but can or has it been done?

Talking of V8s, I have just recieved the latest Evo mag, and have to admit that I like the look of that Marcos a lot, looks like a cross between a T350 and a chim, only with 400BHP!!! Very tempting!

Hmmm. But you can fit a Tuscan bonnet/front end to a Chim/Griff, I've seen it. The Plastic Surgeon does them (seen at P-Fest). So, it can't bee that the bonnet is too low. Must be the chassis too narrow.

I know plasticman on here has a tuscan fronted griff, so I assume it's the same guy.

Guys - for what its worth (and it may be nowt!) I know someone who is getting a V8 put into a Sagaris.
I would say that the best people to speak to are TVR Power - they might have all the critical dimensions of chassis and powerplants to hand.

To me it just looks a like the front bit is 'real' Tuscan, the bonnet doesn't look quite as curved, but I think the chassis is the biggest problem

Only my humble opinion, but I don't quite understand why someone would want to do it.
IMO they would have been better off replacing the rear of the griff with a Chimaera rear end, and then grafting a pre-facelift Chimaera front on to it too.

totally agree

seriously though, not my cup of tea at all. Mind you, I think the Griff with the tuscan front marginally beats the Chimaera with the Tuscan front at Pistonfest. That was worse in my book.

if that's the only thing stopping it it's an easy conversion .. chassis is cerbera width (cos it's a cerbera chassis with a few inches out of the centre section) .. so easy peasy I'd have thought ..
