I think the gtf has a ls and the cerbera a ajp8 4.7, but the yellow flag cost Danny catching them.

7L LS7 in Tim Hood's Yellow Sag (a really serious machine..!), 4.7AJP in Mike S's Cerb, 4.7 AJP in Darren Dowling's Orange Sag - think they were top 3.

Good vid though, look forward to seeing it when they've got it all dialled in properly..

Yep, that's correct above. My purple Sag has LS2 6 litre engine with 480 bhp, Fred's red Sag I think is still the standard 4.5 AJP. I don't know for sure but think the 4.7AJP's pull about 480-500 bhp.

Can someone explain the class thing to me in the race.

I know Danny is a great great driver but I may be right I may be wrong but it seems quite a bit more power full than the rest of the cars there.

What are the rules with regards aero etc etc

Also are these cars gtf's or sags, I thought Danny's was the only Sag based car with the others being Tuscan race cars with Sag bodies and all race non Sag engines?

Paul, all the Sags and Mike cerb are in A+ then you have A which is all the AJP Tuscans including Tims Rover tuscan , Class B is 300hp limit and finally Class C!

He got top marks for effort from me and loved the whole weekend beaming like a cheshire cat, got a trophy and a place on the podium to boot
I think the class C racing could become very popular and a cheap way to get into racing with Str8six and Neil Garner already showing the way!

Correct!

Indeed, Mine, Tim's, Fred's & Darrens are all on a Tuscan Challenge chassis. The Sagaris body shells differ slightly, mine was an original TVR produced shell, which then obviously needed some adaptations for racing and so is supplemented by GTF produced panels. To my knowledge GTF is the only place which has the ability to produce body shells for the race Sag's and quite probably supplied some for Danny's car too. I stand to be corrected on that but I'm certainly grateful for that availability as otherwise it would be nearly impossible to keep her race ready if body damage occurred.

My understanding of the Class structure for this year is that standard Tuscan Challenge cars (ie: No aero, standard 4.5l AJP8 or RV8 engines) are class A - If they've been modified with aero or have chevy engines etc, they'll be in Class A+. All other aero based cars with non standard engines etc will also go into A+.

So if someone wanted to race a standish Tvr Sagaris with a 4.5 speed six (like Danny's old Sag but without the added aero) that would be class A?
