Cleaning the roof

Has anyone got any tips for cleaning the roof panels? Having only had the Griff for a couple of months and being completely new to convertibles I haven't got a clue!! I tried with a sponge but ended up with little yellow bits all over the place

I was told soapy water & lint free cloth. Or for the stubborn bits, rub gently with a soft toothbrush. Have to say have never tried either!

I use the Autoglym roof cleaner kit. Work brilliantly and keep the roof waterproof for about 3mnths... Think its about £19.....

Diluted 1001 cleaner and a standard clothes brush does the trick,treat it with Fabsil afterwards as per instruction and it comes up like new.

Ordinary car shampoo, or autoglym upholstery cleaner, water and a soft brush - works a treat on my tan coloured roof - upholstery cleaner is better. Edited by nubbin on Wednesday 9th May 17:49

Can anyone suggest how to get polish stains out of the roof material? Cheers for any ideas!

Cotton cloth and water rub in one direction and with the nap. Then leave to dry thoroughly for 24 hours, then get yourself a large can of fabsil from , blacks/YHA/or Millets camping. spray on huge amounts and rub in with a cotton cloth. On the fold down don’t get the spray onto the body cos it is a bugger to get off. If you use back to black on the rubber around the windscreen take of the roof first, its makes the cloth on the roof greasy. The pitbull
