Wondering about the grif for sale by these chaps.
They have been discussed on here on numerous times and plenty of ppl seem to have only good words for them.

Anything being sold by them is going to be on the level and any warrenties offered, ppl have found them to be hassle free, friendly and basically good guys. Not shafters and Arthur Daley merchants basically.

Thanks
DJC

It sounds very interesting, Mark @ Tower View told me about it yesterday, probably the last one registered if i were looking for one i would bite his hand off.
And yes they are trustworthy.

You mean the last 4.3 registered?

Interestingly in another thread is the fact that it has a 500 front end on and this is what would go on if it had been involved in a front end smash, as opposed to just having the headlight conversion.
Your experience of these boys would be that they are not the types to cover up a front end smash with a 500 front end and call it just a headlight conversion?

No doubt I will be corrected if I'm wrong, this 4.3 cannot be a pre-cat car if it was registered 93' onwards. The 500's came on stream early 1993 I thought. The last pre - cats or chassis had to be registered at the end of 1992 surely. So has this Griff' been modified in some way ?

I think it is the date the VIN was assigned rather than the registration date, so it is possible for a '93 registered car to be a pre-cat. Unfortunately mine isn't.

I guess the chassis is dated 1992 maybe built in 93' and first registered even later, my understanding is and as Peter suggested could still legally run without cats, i can't see it "hanging around" for long at that price.

I was up there yesterday.... It was up for less then on Pistonheads advert...... the condition is fair, not tarted to up to sell, like at some dealerships.
Looks a genuine car.... if it were a diff colour i may have been interested as I am after a 4.3... however at that price tempted.

Top blokes there, really helpfull, and seem v genuine.
